The Plant for the Production of Aluminum Cans was Opened in Shymkent

QazAIPack has opened a plant for the production of food packaging for aluminum cans in Shymkent with a capacity of 500 million units per year. The project was implemented with the support of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and national company KAZAKH INVEST.

The solemn ceremony of launching the QazAIPack plant was held with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Kairbek Uskenbayev and Akim of Shymkent Murat Aitenov.

According to the minister, the launched enterprise testifies to the successful process of diversification and production of high-level processed products.

“Due to state support measures and properly built management, the project was completed in just 2 years. The plant will provide jobs for about 170 Kazakhs and will allow replacing up to 75% of imported products in the domestic market. I want to note once again that the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development is always open for direct dialogue with business and is ready to provide full assistance to stimulate the competitiveness of domestic producers,” Kairbek Uskenbayev said.

To implement the project, an investment contract was concluded with the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, lending was allocated under the program "Economy of Simple Things". In addition, the state provided a natural grant - a land plot with a ready-made infrastructure in the Ontustik industrial zone.

Representatives of the Industrial Development Committee, the national company KAZAKH INVEST, the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund, as well as SEC Shymkent took part in the solemn ceremony of launching the plant.
