At the end of 2018, there were 3.9 million heads of sheep and goats, 1.8 million heads of poultry, 915.8 thousand heads of cattle, 292.6 thousand heads of horses in the region. The volume of meat production increased by 3.6% (17.2 thousand tons), milk by 1.6% (39.1 thousand tons), eggs by 4.5% (11 million pieces).

In 2018, the volume of industrial production amounted to 201.1 billion tenge, or 100.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2017.

In the mining industry, whose share in the total industrial production of the region was 34.3%, products were produced by 69 billion tenge, and an increase in production volumes by 103.1% was noted (due to an increase in production of metal ores by 102.5% compared to 2017).

In the manufacturing industry (share 59.1%), the physical volume index was 102.7%, the volume of production - 120.2 billion tenge. The growth of manufacturing products is associated with an increase in the output of food products by 0.8%, refined products by 1.4%, the metallurgical industry by 2.0%, other non-metallic mineral products by 23.1%, mechanical engineering by 12.1%, pharmaceutical products by 12.1%.

The volume of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning amounted to 10 billion tenge, or 111.5% compared to 2017, in the industry "water supply, sewerage system, control over the collection and distribution of waste" the amount of work amounted to 1.8 billion tenge , or 107.9%.
