General information: Shymkent cement Plant, located in Shymkent, was founded in 1958. The production capacity of the plant is 1.3 million tons of cement per year. The cement produced at the plant is in demand at many large facilities throughout Kazakhstan.
In September 2014, the plant began construction of a new dry line, the total investment is about 80 million US dollars. The project of modernization of the plant is included in the state program "Productivity 2020". The new line is distinguished by its modern indicators of environmental protection, safety and efficiency.
In 2016, Shymkent cement plant became a part of HeidelbergCement Group.
